Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006

BizTalk 2006 is the 4th release of Microsoft’s integration platform. The new versions will be released early in 2006. Every BizTalk 2004 application is guaranteed to work in the 2006 version. Key improvements in the new version are:
  • BizTalk 2006 will be optimized for the new SQL Server 2005
  • Integration with Indigo
  • Improved Web Services Enhancements Adapter
  • Ordered message delivery
  • You may call pipelines from orchestrations
  • Parameterized pipeline components from within the administration console.
  • Introduction of a “Flat File Wizard”
  • Zooming in the orchestration designer
In addition, BAM or Business Activity Monitoring has been significantly improved. Microsoft has recently purchased I-Way Software and will offer adapters for the following 3rd party applications:
  • SAP
  • Oracle Db
  • Oracle Apps
  • Amdocs
  • PeopleSoft
  • Siebel
  • TIBCO Rendezvous
  • TIMCO JMS
  • Clarify
  • JD Edwards
